Our Talks is a particular event that happens
in our school. It’s based on TED Talks but is done by the students of first and
second years of high school. They have 5 to 10 minutes to talk about something
according to the theme. For example, this year the theme was the culture of
peace.
They
talked about education, respect, and a lot of other things. There was this girl
that talked about education, how it’s being applied (in Brazil) and how it
should be applied. There were two girls that talked about education for girls
that do not have education yet. A boy talked about the “culture” of calling
people homophobic, racist, fascist, Nazi or other things, just because of what
they think or something that they say.
